Ten minutes to the first tee

Does this sound familiar?  You are running late and you arrive ten minutes before your tee time.

What do you do to warm up for your round?

Let me know what you would do and in the next few posts I will share my suggestions with you.

In great golf and great health,

Katherine Roberts

Hamstring, hip and lumbar spine flexibility tip

Welcome to the Katherine Roberts blog!  I am thrilled to be an advisory panel member and contributor to Golf Fitness Magazine.

Over the past twenty years I have worked with golfers of all levels of fitness.

I love when a client comes to me and says, "I have the tightest hamstrings you have every seen".  I tell them "Trust me, I have seen it all!"

Most golfers I know struggle with tight hamstrings, hips and lumbar spine.  This quick series of stretches targets these three areas. I use this stretch with all my golfers as well as all my MLB players.  (This year was my sixth year as a flexibility / yoga expert for the LA Dodgers and San Diego Padres).

My recommendation is to practice this series everyday for maximum benefits on and off the course.

For more information on The Roberts Flex-Fit Method go to www.KRFlexFit.com and be sure to e-mail me @ Katherine@KRFlexFit.com with all your questions!

Place the yoga strap around your right foot, flexing both feet and quads. Hold for thirty seconds.

Place the strap in your right hand and lower your right leg toward the floor.  Keep the left hip on the floor. Hold for thirty seconds.

Place the strap in our left hand, place your right arm perpendicular to your body and bring your right leg and hip toward the left side.

Hold for thirty seconds and switch sides.

Blessings,

Katherine
